my best weight loss tips

  • Read everything you can get your lil hands on about nutrition.
  • Drink your water. Shoot for 4 liters per day.
  • Take your time at the grocery store. Make label reading and product learning fun.
  • Make your plan for healthy eating and exercise for the upcoming week and stick to it.
  • Weigh yourself weekly, and write it down. First thing in the morning, empty stomach, no clothes.
  • Indulge once in awhile. Without balance, we fall over.

  • You are not your mistakes. If you slip, keep going. Don’t miss a beat.
  • Examine the reasons you got here, find out what makes your inside happy and chase it.
  • Diet is 80% of the battle. Abs are made in the kitchen, so keep your diet clean.
  • Make exercise your friend. Find something you like doing and enjoy it.
  • Don’t deprive yourself of any one item (fruit, carbs, etc.) your body needs all of it.
  • Eat every 3 hours and don’t miss a meal. It will keep your blood sugar level and cravings at bay.
  • Get creative with food. Healthy eating is NOT boring.

  • Find workout partners and others who have similiar goals. Believe me, it’s inspiring.
  • Reward yourself for weight loss with non-food items.
  • Get plenty of sleep. It took me awhile to learn this one.
  • Did I mention reading? Mastering an art takes knowledge. Make losing weight your art.

  • Do not allow people to sabotage your goals. You are doing this for you, not them.
  • Before you go out to dinner, look up the menu online and eat a healthy snack before you go.
  • Experiment with different foods, different workouts. We are human. We get bored.
  • Don’t implement anything in your plan you cannot stick with forever. I mean, like, forever ever.

I feel my absolutely best when I am eating healthy meals every few hours, getting regular exercise, plenty of sleep, and being a good person. And I can give you a 99% guarantee that you will too.

  2. Thanks girl! I used to eat this way years back and was in great shape and felt overall better about myself, energy, just a different person. My daughter got very ill and I fell in to a depression and everything just fell apart. I love hearing you talk about food and cooking. I once had the same passion and looked forward to my workouts and the food week! Thanks for inspiring a USED TO BE. 😀
